Brian reports that before they trained because of the long travel they had lunch after a long flight, a very smart and logicial move. Then after lunch they began their 1st training session of what'll be a great 2025 season. Starting in the gym some then played soccer tennis which I have no idea what that is but it sounds fun! It would be team of of Danny Leyva, Reed Baker-Whiting, and Kalani Kossa-Rienzi that dominated the round-robin tournament. With the session itself focusing on one and two-touch passing as the team preps for their very first preseason match versus Puskás Akadémia FC on Thursday.
Puskás Akadémia FC is a club based in Felcsút, Hungary and they currently lead the standings in theNemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of the Hungarian soccer league system. A league they have finished runner-up once and 3rd place three different times all four of those league results coming in the past 5 seasons. And is named after the greatest player in Hungarian history and Real Madrid legend Ferenc Puskás. A man who led Hungary to the 1954 World Cup final and a Olympic gold medal in 1952. Being both the top scorer in La Liga 4 times and the Champions League twice.
Afterwards the Sounders or rather a handful of players decide to cool off and relax at the bench. Getting ready for the preseason game. And 1st get a quick dip in the Alboran Sea before anything. Brian Evans reports the team's energy is extremely positive and everyone's getting along, which is exactly what you wanna hear from the start of pre-season! Thanks a bunch for reading!
