Seattle Sounders projected starting XI against Austin FC

The Seattle Sounders have many players unavailable for their next match against Austin FC. The two teams will face each other at Lumen Field on Saturday, March 2. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30PM (PT), but there is usually a nine-minute delay for MLS games. You can watch the game online with an Apple TV MLS Season Pass. This game is not free to stream like the previous one.

The captain and goalkeeper of the team, Stefan Frei, is still out. Andrew Thomas should continue to be the veteran's replacement for the next game.

In the defense, Yeimar is still out working to improve his fitness level. He had a delay in joining the team for the preseason because of visa issues. Nathan, who replaced Yeimar in the first game, is also unavailable. Nathan is in Brazil working on his Green Card and will be back next week. Therefore, Xavier Arreaga is expected to partner with Jackson Ragen in the center back. Alex Roldan and Nouhou will complete the defensive line.

João Paulo, the central midfielder, is out for the next match. He was substituted by Obed Vargas in the game versus LAFC and will likely pair up with Josh Atencio in the defensive midfield again.

Albert Rusnák remains in the attacking midfield role. Pedro de la Vega, who had a good week of training, is expected to start as the "number 10". Pedro is still improving his fitness level and may not last the whole game, but he should be ready for the first half at least. Léo Chú and Cristian Roldan should be the wingers.

Jordan Morris should keep playing as the "number nine" striker, since Brian Schmetzer seems to be pleased with Morris' performance in the match against LAFC. Raul Ruidiaz, who suffered a rib injury in the previous game, should be fit for this game and start at the bench.
