No other teams vying for a playoff spot are playing on Sept. 27, so the Sounders would jump up to ninth place with a win and be one away from Real Salt Lake and the Galaxy.

Seattle might not have done themselves any favor with losses against Portland and Orlando in late August and then their recent loss against Vancouver. However, hope is not lost for the CCL champions. They just have a narrow rope to walk on.
