The FIFA Club World Cup is a new tournament that will feature 32 teams from six continents, starting from 2025. The competition will replace the current FIFA Club World Cup, which is held annually with seven teams. The new format aims to showcase the best clubs from around the world and create a global spectacle for fans and players alike.

The qualifying criteria for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 have been confirmed by the FIFA Council, and they are based on the confederation champions from 2021 to 2024. A maximum of two clubs can qualify from one country, and the host nation will have one representative. So far, 20 teams have secured their spot at the tournament.

RB Leipzig was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, which means Dortmund has secured a spot through the ranking route. Dortmund and Bayern will be the German teams in next year's competition.
