The 26-year-old forward was signed by Seattle Reign FC following a season abroad with Melbourne Victory FC in the A-League Women, the highest-level women's soccer league in Australia. Weinert is a versatile and creative attacker, who can play as a striker, a winger, or a second forward.

A native of Milwaukie, Oregon, Weinert played college soccer at the University of Washington for two seasons, scoring eight goals, assisting five times, and taking 74 shots in 37 games for the Huskies.

Prior to joining Washington in 2021, she spent four seasons at Oregon State University from 2017 to 2020, where she started 46 out of 50 games and netted 13 goals and three assists.
