In the 2023 regular season, the 25-year-old started nine out of 14 games, and started six more games in the UKG Challenge Cup. With one assist and four shots, King was second on the team in the Challenge Cup, helping the club win the West Division and secure the No. 1 seed.

King was a key player in the Reign's victory at The Women's Cup in 2022, scoring one goal in the semifinal and assisting another in the final to win the Most Valuable Player award. Earlier that year, the adaptable forward made history as the first player on the Reign to score in a regular season game at Lumen Field, the club's new home stadium, where she netted two goals in four minutes to achieve the first brace of her career.
