Seattle Sounders 2024 Offseason recap - Who is arriving?
Nathan Cardoso
Nathan, a defender, has joined Sounders FC on a contract for the 2024 season, with the possibility of extending it to 2025. The 28-year-old defender previously played for the San Jose Earthquakes from 2021 to 2022, making 46 starts and scoring five goals. He spent four seasons with FC Zürich, one of the most successful clubs in Switzerland, where he featured in 63 matches and contributed three goals and an assist. He also had loan spells with Grasshoppers and Servette FC, two other prominent Swiss teams, where he scored four goals in 39 games.
Nathan played for Palmeiras between 2014 and 2017. During his time at Palmeiras, he participated in 16 matches across different tournaments and helped the team win the Copa do Brazil in 2015. He also spent some time on loan at other clubs, such as Criciúma in 2016 and Chapecoense in 2017. He scored two goals for Criciúma and one goal for Chapecoense in his loan spells.
