Paul Rothrock
Paul Rothrock is a Seattle native who started his soccer career with Seattle United, a partner club of the Sounders Academy, and later joined the Academy itself. He was drafted by Toronto FC in 2021 and played for their second team, Toronto FC II, for two seasons. He also made a few appearances for the first team on short-term loans.
In 2023, he returned to his hometown and signed with Tacoma Defiance. He impressed with his performances and scored three goals in three matches for the Sounders in the U.S. Open Cup. He was rewarded with a First Team contract in August 2023 and scored his first MLS goal in his debut against Houston Dynamo.
Rothrock is a versatile midfielder who can play as a winger or a forward. His contract had club option for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
