Yeimar Gómez Andrade

Yeimar Pastor Gómez Andrade is a Colombian center-back who joined the club in February 2020 after spending eight seasons in Argentina. He has been voted Sounders FC Defender of the Year for four consecutive seasons (2020-2023) and was also named to the MLS Best XI and MLS All-Star team in 2021.

Yeimar has been a key part of the Sounders FC defense that has consistently ranked among the best in MLS. He helped the Sounders FC win the CONCACAF Champions League in 2022. He is known for his physical presence, aerial ability and leadership on the field.


The club had the option to extend Yeimar's contract for one more year and with another option for next season.
