Seattle Sounders 2024 Offseason recap - Who is having contracts renewed or extended?

The Rave Green renewed the contract of some of the pillars of the team and guaranteed some of the young talents as well.

A native of Seattle, Washington, Jackson Ragen is a defender for the Sounders. He signed with the club in 2022 after a year with Tacoma Defiance. He was drafted by Chicago Fire FC in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft but chose to stay in college.

Ragen has 69 appearances with the Sounders and became a starter in the beginning of 2023 season per Coach Schmetzer's option over Xavier Arreaga. In the 2023 season, he played 39 games and tallied four assists.

Ragen's contract ended in 2023 but the club had the option to renew it for one more year and now he is set until the end of 2024.
