Xavier Arreaga
Xavier Arreaga is a defender who joined the club in 2019 after four seasons with Barcelona SC in Ecuador. He has also represented the Ecuador national team since 2018.
Arreaga made his debut for the Sounders on May 26, 2019 against Sporting Kansas City. He quickly became a regular starter and helped the team win the MLS Cup in his first season. He also played a key role in the Sounders' historic run to the CONCACAF Champions League title in 2022, earning a spot in the tournament's Best XI.
In the 2023 season, Arreaga lost his spot among the starters to Jackson Ragen. He had only 16 appearances and most of them coming from the bench at the end of the games. His contract was due at the end of 2023 season with the club option for the next two years.
