Stefan Cleveland
The goalkeeper joined Seattle in 2020 and played for the Tacoma Defiance in his first season. He moved up to the Sounders in 2021 and served as a dependable substitute for the main goalkeeper, Stefan Frei. He probably hoped to become the Sounders' first-choice keeper, but Frei extended his contract for another two years. This prompted Cleveland and the club to reconsider his future.
In the 2021, he had 16 appearances and eight clean sheets. In the following season, only eight games and one clean sheet. The last season was the one with less games under his belt - just five.
Cleveland's contract ended in 2023 season and although the club had the option to renew it for another year, they preferred to not do it and let Cleveland play in another MLS club. He ended up signing with Austin FC as a free agent.
