Abdoulaye (AB) Cissoko
Cissoko arrived at Seattle Sounders in the 2021 season when the team played in a scheme with three defenders. In that season, the young center back had 14 matches in MLS, 12 as a starter and scoring 966 minutes on the field. His participation decreased in the following season with only 406 minutes in 10 games, five as a starter. In 2022, the team returned to play as the tactical scheme 4-2-3-1.
In the 2023 season, the 23-year-old defender played only four games for Seattle Sounders, two games as a starter in the US Open Cup when coach Brian Schmetzer used a mixed team. However, the defender had a solid season for Tacoma Defiance with 14 games as a starter in the regular season, plus two games in the playoffs. He scored five goals for Tacoma, and was elected to the ideal team (Best XI) of MLS NEXT Pro.
His contract ended in 2023 and the club decided to not renew it. He signed with the USL team Menphis 901 FC.
