Another day, another All-Star selection for the storied Seattle Sounders. On Tuesday, the MLS announced that forwards Jordan Morris and Raúl Ruidíaz were named to the 2022 MLS All-Star Game in Minnesota. The duo have been great for the team when on fit, and have been recognized by their peers and coaches.

The Sounders join FC Dallas, Los Angeles FC, LA Galaxy, Nashville SC, New York City FC and the Philadelphia Union as the clubs to have multiple players in the 2022 All-Star Game.

Consistently one of the better players in the MLS, Morris All-Star nomination is surprisingly his first in his six-year MLS career. The electric winger has a nose for goal and always wreaks havoc on opposing defenses with his game-breaking pace.

His dynamic skillset has made him a useful player for the eighth place Sounders. In 2022, Morris has five goals and an assist, capping off a great first half of the season for the 27-year-old.

Ruidíaz has battled injuries in 2022, appearing in just nine games. The good news is that he has five goals in those nine matches. Through his first four MLS seasons, the Peruvian has scored at least ten goals, including a 17-goal outburst in 2021.

As long as he stays healthy, Ruidíaz will almost surely hit that number again. The striker is one of the Sounders' most important players, as in the four games that he has scored, the Sounders are 4-0.

The season has been a rollercoaster for the Sounders, but health has mainly been the reason for that. The team has dealt with injuries throughout the course of the season, but as long as the squad is fit, they will produce good results. With Morris and Ruidíaz on the attack, the playoffs are well within reach for one of the most talented teams in the MLS.
