There's been rumors of young star Obed Vargas having clubs from other side of the Southern border. One's I've even talked about before. But some Mexico's biggest clubs like Chivas and Tigres have decided it's not worth it to pursue the Mexican CDM but how come? He's super talented any Sounders fan can tell you that and he would shine in Liga MX. So the question becomes what did the Sounders do to get these big Mexican clubs off his back? Well luckily they didn't hide that.
Vargas has a price tag and it's very strict so you have to pay this or more to buy him and that price is 10 million dollars. Honestly seeing the great work he's done I'm surprised at the price, I thought it'd be higher. Not too much higher more like 13-15 million which is still less than what it would take me to let go of him personally. As I said before I believe this is the smartest move possible. Vargas has a lot of potential, enough to make it a elite European league. So to sell him now would be a blown opportunity that would be embarrassing if we let slip through our hands. He's someone who can fetch a much higher price than 10 million for him. If we wait a year or two his value will more than double in the coming years.
No major injuries and building those skills plus more caps for Mexico, in other words if he keeps doing what he's been doing. He'll be a massive sale that one offseason could buy us 3 or 4 Jesús David Ferreira Castro's and certainly a replacement for the Alaskan. Until then I wish him the very best and hope he'll improve rapidly to help the Sounders win many games! Thanks a bunch for reading!
