Brian Schmetzer options to replace Pedro de la Vega

No Albert Rusnak and now Pedro de la Vega is out for 6 to 8 weeks? It will be a team effort to replace the Designated Players.

3. Paul Rothrock

The Seattle native had an explosive start to his Sounders career in 2023 with a goal on each of his first 3 appearances, which included a US open Cup debut and an MLS debut with a first team contract in between.
Sounders fans were eager to see more of their homegrown talent, but his appearances fizzled out. In 2024 the team would surely benefit from another productive streak, but he is unlikely to get a starting role.
