On New Year's day Niko Moreno reported that not only had Sounders resigned the Serbian CAM but have done so for multiple seasons. A fantastic move if I do say myself. I know that I've said before that we should get rid of our older players. And Rusnák being 30 is on the older side, no offense if you're reading this. That's only in sports terms, in every other way you still have a full life ahead of you. But out of all of them the Serb was by far the one I wanted to keep in fact.

Since walking into Seattle and putting on the green and blue he's done nothing but improve with last season being his best with the Seattle Sounders so far. In 2024 he had his career year having 10 goals and 13 assists in 32 games. Which was a career high in both assists and total goal contributions for the Serb for not only his time in Seattle but for his whole career. With his reliance and high skill in sharpness, creativity and intelligence should mean he should age the most gracefully out of anyone on the squad if his body holds up as well as it always does.

Not to mention with the Sounder completing the trade for Jesus Ferrira! Not only does that give him a fantastic finisher to create plays for but since he's quite the creator himself. It should also give him both more creative freedom and more off the ball freedom to focus further on goal scoring. Overall I'm very much looking forward to what improvements and great plays he'll give us next season. I'm sure he's ready to give us some more awe inspiring moments next year and hopefully with some trophies alongside. Thanks a bunch for reading!
