Adam Johansson, He Likes Sweeden

Prepare yourself, I’m sure you’re going to see plenty of FIFA 13-driven headlines around the Sounder-sphere. Apparently, and stop me if you’ve heard this before, Adam Johansson likes Sweeden. Yowzers. But what would you expect when you get a headline such as “Adam J hope return to blue-white”.

Basically in an interview with a Sweedish news agency, Johansson went to acknowledges the following:

A) His contract with the Sounders ends next year.

B) That he’s willing to return to IFK-Hill.

C) His main goal is to rejoin the Sweedish National team as the starting right back

I’m sure that you could take plenty of the translation out of context and make something into nothing. As an example, bing translator highlights the following.

After one season in the MLS feel the former IFK-Hill that he’s taken strides:

-It is less cooperative there, you are more at the mercy of yourself and you will manage your winger on their own but in Sweden it is a low-profile where people help each other. It has developed me and then it is developing as a person to see a different environment and a different country, “he said.

You could take this translation and run with it, but really the point and context of it is just describing the system he’s apart of and how it relates back to Allsvenskan.

It is curious, considering his wage, if he’ll stick around next year. Add to the fact that this past weekend DeAndre Yedlin performed really well for roughly 70 minutes. So, there is plenty to speculate about.
