The Seattle Sounders announce they have reached a deal to send Deandre Yedlin to Tottenham at end of season.

Deandre Yedlin will join the Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the 2014 MLS season for nearly $4 million. He will now have to negotiate the waters overseas.
Sigi Schmid on the transfer:
“We are very excited for DeAndre and the possibilities that exist for him in his future with Tottenham Hotspur. It’s an exciting time in his life. We are also very pleased that we will be able to retain Deandre’s services for the rest of the season in our quest for the MLS Cup.”
Yedlin has made 45 appearances during MLS’ regluar season.
Yedlin had this to say regarding the announcement:
I’m excited to have the opportunity to play with the Spurs in the English Premiere League, and I look forward to helping the Sounders win a championship this season
Tottenham will have to find a way to get the Sounder a work permit in England as he would normally be required to play in 75% of his countries games over a two-year period. They will likely have to make an appeal of his ” extraordinary ” talents in order to get him a work permit.
