USWNT to Play Friendly at Century Link Field in October
Rumor has it that our fair ladies Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe and the rest of the USWNT will play two friendlies in October vs. Brazil, including one right here at Century Link Field on

While that may be rumor, the Seattle Reign FC did announce that the club will host a press announcement on Sunday, August 9 with Solo and Rapinoe for “an announcement about the USWNT and Seattle Reign FC.” Put two and two together, and I reckon you’ll get four … meaning it seems this rumor has some teeth!
If this is true, this will be the first USWNT match in the Northwest since a friendly against Ireland in Portland in 2012. It would also be the first match in Seattle since the 2002 Gold Cup (played at Safeco Field).
