The official MLS Decision Day may have been back on the 25th October, but realistically Sunday 8th November is exactly the same for the Seattle Sounders.

The Sounders head to Toyota Stadium to take on a FC Dallas side that topped the Western Conference table. A precarious 2-1 lead keeps all outcomes and possibilities open.

Here’s what the Sounders Nation staff are predicting:

Wow. This game is BIG! The slender 2-1 advantage the Sounders hold would usually lead to a cagey 2nd Leg, but that just isn’t how things have been going in this post season.

There have been eight goals in the Sounders two playoff games so far this season, chances are there could be a few more today.

The Sounders can get through with a draw, but playing a game without the intention to win is always dangerous – Sigi Schmid indicated as much in his press conference.

In truth, the Sounders are not really set up to be able to defend for 90 minutes, particularly considering the likely absence of Brad Evans in the centre of defense.

Contrary to what many believe, FC Dallas may not necessarily fly out of the blocks today. They like to use their pace on the break, so may figure that their best chance is to lure the Sounders out and hit on the break. Don’t be surprised if they try to target Zach Scott for his lack of speed.

The Sounders have enough threat on the break of their own and will gladly look to exploit it. This could end up an open game with both sides looking to spring quickly on the counter attack.

This one could be a nerve wrecker. The Sounders have not done things the easy way so far in the playoffs and it could be the same again today. Sit tight and enjoy the ride!
