Ticket Prices to Affect US-Ecuador Turnout

High ticket prices seem to have an effect on the number of fans that will be in attendance at tonight’s Copa America quarterfinal.

The United States are taking on Ecuador in a historic game for US soccer as a whole. The best part about all this is that the game will be at CenturyLink stadium, in front of the best fans in MLS and American soccer. The only problem is that not all those fans will turn out tonight due to the price of tickets.

As of now, the lowest ticket price you can get for this game is $80 per ticket, a price many soccer fans can’t afford to pay. What could have been a fun family affair is now an event many families can’t afford to come to.

There will still be a good number of fan, despite the ticket prices. As of Wednesday, SI.com reporter Grant Wahl tweeted out how many tickets have been sold, a number similar to many Sounders games.

Though it won’t be the sold out game that most were hoping for, you know darn well that the fans that do show up will be jumping and singing the entire time.
