Chile and Colombia face off in the next game of the semifinals, the winner moving on to fight Argentina for the Copa America Centenario title.
More from Sounders Nation
Colombia, after taking second behind the United States in Group A, had to go to penalty kicks against Peru to find a way into the semifinals. The game itself ended at 0-0 after 90 minute of uninspiring soccer. With a birth in the semifinals, Colombia will look to beat Chile to clinch a spot in the finals for the second time in Copa America history (taking runner-up in 1975 and winning the tournament in 2001).
Chile is coming off a 7-0 demolishing of Mexico, clinching a semifinals birth with some style. With this kind of momentum, Colombia will have to be extremely careful against this star-studded and very much in form Chilean team. Chile will be without midfield workhorse Arturo Vidal due to yellow card accumulation. If Chile wins tonight, the final against Argentina will be a repeat of last year’s Copa America final that Chile won on penalty kicks as well as the opening fixture of this year’s Group D that Argentina won 3-1.
Kick-off for tonight’s game will be at 5pm on FS1. As always, this game can be streamed on Fox Sports Go or you can follow along on social media.
