Sounders Eddie Johnson and Brad Evans have been given the opportunity of a lifetime.

While many may grow accustomed to having certain players associated with the red, white, and blue;for the players the opportunity should be one of humble honor and pride. Fans across the nation and around the world look at the shield on the chest of the US Men’s jersey and blindly associate with the big pie-in-the-sky representation of the USA.

However, it means much more than that...

It’s funny, there has been talk in the past about Brad Evans being associated with the US mens team for some time. But it always seems to come during a time in which the international squad is down multiple key players in already depth challenged area.

Now, Brad Evans is recruited to a squad which is assembled a bit… eccentric, in it’s pairing of talent. While many of the usual suspects have received the call, i.e. Herculez Gomez, Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, ect… there have been a few others that are a bit more on the surprising side.
