Sounders Nation has steadily grown as FanSided’s home for Seattle Sounders FC coverage dating back to when the site was first launched in late 2012. The Sounders have seen the full gamut of on-field successes and failures in that time, and in that time, we’ve been here for it all. The constant has always been our goal here on site: to give you folks, our readers, the very best Seattle Sounders discussion that we possibly can.
The season is currently underway, and with the season past the halfway point, the Sounders are looking strong. As such, we want to keep things strong here on site as well and we need your help to do it.
Consider yourself a passionate fan? Read us or other Sounders sites with regularity and ever wonder if you should write about the team too? Maybe you’re just stumbling across us for the first time and you like what you see. We are looking to add to our staff here on site and this could be your chance to grab a stick and join the team.
Sounders Nation is currently looking to fill multiple staff writer roles for the remainder of this season and beyond.
We like to let our staff write about the aspects of the team they are most passionate about. There’s room for those looking to cover game action, analysis, transactions, or just about anything you can fit under the Sounders umbrella. If you have a passion for it and a voice, we want you on our team!
More from Sounders Nation
Writers are asked to contribute 1-2 posts per week. We’ll always welcome more frequent contributions than that, but we won’t require it.
We know that for most this is mostly a hobby and something you do for the love of it. That’s why we do it too, as most of us have families, full-time careers, and/or school to balance into our lives as well (there’s room for things besides sports, right?). This is an opportunity to join a staff of writers here who are just simply passionate about the Sounders and want to continue to reach the rest of this great fan base.
Want to join us?
Applying is very easy. Head on over and complete an application. It’ll give you a chance to share some insight into your background (prior online writing experience is not necessary but always encouraged) and let us know why you’d be a fit on site, so give it your best. We’ll be in touch from there.
If you have any questions about the roles, please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
