According to Taylor Twellman, Seattle Sounder Deandre Yedlin could be headed to the Tottenham
Seattle Sounder Deandre Yedlin could be headed to the English Premier League after the 2014 MLS season.
The biggest news of the day. Taylor Twellman of ESPN, who has connections to MLS and inside access, is reporting the Tottenham Hotspurs have jumped ahead of all other contenders including AS Roman, Napoli, and Inter Milan in the quest for Seattle Sounder Deandre Yedlin.
Hearing Spurs have jumped ahead of everyone else in Yedlin sweepstakes. He'd stay in Seattle for 2014 before joining Tottenham.

Twellman dropped the news prior to the 2014 MLS All-Star game, which is set to take place tonight in Portland. Yedlin for hist part has recently stated he is more than happy to stay in Seattle after the past month of rumors and transfer talks. The MLS transfer window is set to close today, which would mean if the Hotspurs where to sign Yedlin and loan him back to the Sounders to finish the 2014 season, the deal would have to be completed today.
This is the most substantiated news in almost a month regarding the USMNT star. After the World Cup, Yedlin has become the hottest commodity in US Soccer. Yedlin’s teammate Clint Dempsey spent one year with the HotSpurs during the 2012-2013 season after signing a three year deal. He then joined the Seattle Sounders in August of 2013.
